Dental assistant pretending to be a doctor!?

A Wesley Chapel man faces drug charges and charges of practicing dentistry without a license after Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies said he cleaned and extracted teeth in his home and gave patients non-prescribed antibiotics.
Jose Emilio Mas Fernandez was arrested Wednesday night after an undercover investigation, according to an arrest report. A deputy who posed as a patient said Mas Fernandez agreed to pull one of his teeth and give him antibiotics for a total of $170.
At Mas Fernandez’s home, the deputy said he saw professional dental equipment. The arrest report lists Mas Fernandez’s occupation as a dental assistant.
